Using the study hub
Terms of Service
These terms set clear, proportionate rules for using the private LW SQE 26 study hub.
Last updated: 2 August 2026
1. About the service
LW SQE 26 is a private educational resource hub run by David FitzGerald as an individual. It is intended to help a small group organise resources for SQE 1 preparation in September 2026.
LW SQE 26 is an independent personal project. It is not operated by, affiliated with, or endorsed by any law firm.
2. Agreeing to these terms
By signing in or using the private resources, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the portal. The Privacy Policy explains how the limited personal data needed to run the portal is handled.
3. Access and account security
- Access is limited to Gmail addresses approved by the administrator or admitted through a valid, single-use invitation code.
- You must use your own Google account and keep it secure.
- Do not share an invitation code, authenticated session or downloaded private resource beyond the people for whom it was intended.
- Tell the administrator promptly if you think access has been misused.
4. Acceptable use
You must not:
- try to bypass sign-in, access controls or technical safeguards;
- probe, disrupt, overload, scrape or reverse engineer the service;
- upload or distribute unlawful, harmful or malicious material; or
- use the portal or its resources for a commercial purpose without written permission.
5. Educational information, not legal advice
The portal is a study aid. Nothing on it is legal advice, professional advice, a guarantee of examination results, or a substitute for official SQE materials, current legislation, regulatory guidance, teaching or independent professional judgment. You remain responsible for checking that information is current and suitable for your purpose.
6. Content and intellectual property
Content made available through the portal remains the property of its respective owner. Authorised members receive a limited, revocable permission to use it for their own personal, non-commercial study. You may download a working copy where a download is offered, but you must not publish, sell or widely redistribute private materials unless the relevant owner has permitted that use.
7. External services and links
Google sign-in and any external links are provided by third parties under their own terms. LW SQE 26 is not responsible for third-party services, availability or content.
8. Availability and changes
The service is provided on a best-efforts basis. Features, resources or availability may change, pause or end, and maintenance or events outside the operator's control may interrupt access. Reasonable care will be taken, but uninterrupted or error-free availability is not promised.
9. Suspension or removal of access
The administrator may suspend or remove access to protect members or the service, respond to misuse, comply with law, or discontinue the project. Active sessions can be ended immediately when access is revoked.
10. Responsibility and liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence. Subject to that, the operator is not responsible for indirect or unforeseeable loss, examination outcomes, or decisions made in reliance on study material. Nothing in these terms affects any statutory rights you have as a consumer.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Courts in England and Wales will have jurisdiction, although any mandatory rights you have to bring a claim elsewhere remain unaffected.
12. Contact and changes to these terms
Questions can be sent to davidfitzgerald1579@gmail.com. If these terms change materially, the updated version and date will be published here.
